Indexing

Salary indexation in Ukraine is carried out every month. Indexation is a necessary process to regulate the depreciation of the national currency. Through the use of the consumer price index, the government can increase social payments, wages to employees. In other words, indexation is the percentage of inflation (depreciation of money).

Since these norms are calculated strictly every month, it is not possible to submit a report for 2019 due to the fact that it has not yet ended. Therefore, the table below shows the data for the last year, that is, 2018.

Salaries in different areas

In the field of IT-technologies, Ukrainians earn an average of 25 thousand UAH. In the aviation industry, the average monthly salary is UAH 24,400. In the pharmaceutical industry, employees receive UAH 10,800 each, while the insurance and finance sector is characterized by salaries of UAH 10,080. per month.

Media employees earn an average of UAH 9,400, and mining industry workers can count on a salary of UAH 7,300.

In the oil industry, the average salary is 6670 UAH, while in the scientific industry people earn 6400 UAH.

Chemical industry workers on average earn 5,800 hryvnias a month, while representatives of wholesale and retail trade do not receive more than 5,700 hryvnias.

In the public administration sector, the salary is 5660 UAH. Representatives of the land transport industry on average earn from 5200 UAH, and workers in the field of mechanical engineering monthly receive from 4900 UAH.

Representatives of the real estate sector can count on a salary of UAH 4,700, while construction specialists and builders can earn from UAH 4,590.

Ukrainian programmers specializing in sales manager, developer, coder or system administrator receive an average of 500-600 dollars.

  2. NET Developer. The salary for this specialty reaches 1000 dollars.

Flight attendants and pilots in Ukraine earn between $800 and $1,000. The amount of salary depends on the length of service.

The average salary of a pharmacist with extensive experience is UAH 12,000. Pharmacists-pharmacists without work experience can count on a salary of three to five thousand hryvnia. Regional managers in the field of pharmaceuticals earn from UAH 8,000 to 12,000, while a pharmacy manager earns from UAH 5,000 to 8,000 per month.

Employees of the Customs Service of Ukraine receive not very high salaries for their work. The average salary of a customs officer is 4200 UAH.

The monthly income of a firefighter depends on qualifications, position and length of service. Experienced firefighters are paid up to UAH 5,000, and beginners should count on the minimum wage rate (the minimum wage, in 2019 - UAH 3,200).

The salary of a teacher also depends on the length of service. The average monthly salary does not exceed 3000 UAH. If the teacher has worked for three years at the school, then his salary rises by 10%. With a length of service of three to 10 years, an additional 20% of the salary is credited to the salary account.

The remuneration of a teacher in a preschool institution is 3500 UAH. During 2019, the government intends to raise the salary of teachers and nannies in kindergartens to UAH 5,200.

Ukrainian border guards earn an average of four thousand hryvnia. Today, men under 45 who want to work in the war zone (the territory of Luhansk and Donetsk regions) are in great demand. Since the call for military service has already ended, the government decided to make a contract army.

Salaries in the ATO zone are striking in their scale. Such high soldiers and officers receive for difficult conditions of service and danger to life. Ukrainians working in the ATO zone receive from seven thousand hryvnias.

If a soldier has a rank, then his salary increases. For example, a sergeant in the ATO zone receives UAH 8,000, and a captain - up to UAH 11,000.

Soldiers with the rank of lieutenant can expect to receive 9500 UAH. If a person goes to the ATO with a similar rank, then his salary will be equal to 15 thousand hryvnias. Lieutenant colonels in units earn from UAH 13,000, and in the ATO zone - from UAH 21,000.

Seafarers working on ships receive some of the highest salaries. But only Ukrainian maritime companies pay not very large sums. The minder receives an average of four to six thousand hryvnias, while a foreign company can offer a minder with the same category a salary of at least 10 thousand hryvnias.

Representatives of wholesale and retail trade (sales representatives, cashiers, sales assistants, merchandisers) do not earn more than five to six thousand hryvnias on average.

Teachers of higher educational institutions can count on a salary of five thousand hryvnia.

The salary of medical workers depends on qualifications. So, a nurse receives a minimum salary, and a doctor can count on a salary of six thousand hryvnia. The highest salaries in the field of medicine are received by gynecologists, dermatologists, venereologists, dentists and surgeons.
