I want to talk about how I made friends with a mobile router HAME MPR-A1 with 4G modem Huawei e3272. The purchase was made for a friend. A friend chose this model, mainly because of the miniature size, so as not to get in the way in a pocket or bag. It is much more compact and lighter than the Hame R1 I bought for myself. I wrote about it earlier in detail.

The board and the layout of the internal parts give the impression of a quality original technology. The battery with a capacity of 1800 mAh has a 4-pin cable, a copper screen is glued to the board under the battery. 
Battery Dimensions
The board is based on the Ralink RT5350F chip and has revision A1-V2.2 (this is the most a new version to date). It has exactly the same version of the board. 
After turning on the router, it automatically creates an open Wi-Fi network (the password can be set in the web interface). To log in, you need to enter the address of the router in the address bar of the browser: 192.168.169.1 (in the web interface, by default, English language). The web interface of the router is intuitive, the default password is "hame".
Functions and modes of operation of the mobile router:
1. Distribution mobile internet in conjunction with a 3G modem. For a correct connection, the 3G modem must be switched to the "only modem" mode. On the given detailed instructions and a list of AT commands for most types of 3G modems.

No additional settings and manipulations with the Huawei e3272 4G modem were required, it connects perfectly out of the box. 
I will note a number of features of using the device, for example, in a country house. By moving indoors or outdoors (in summer) a router with a 4G modem, you can find zones of more reliable reception with a significant increase in speed. This place turned out to be a window overlooking the city. 
The speed of 12.18 Mbps obtained in a country house indicates that the router perfectly picks up and distributes real 4G Internet. 
3. Also tested the upload speed Wi-Fi Internet supplied via RJ45 connector via WAN interface STATIC (fixed IP) or DHCP. Everything works fine, no surprises. 
HAME A-1 allows you to connect to a cable provider using authorization supported by the PPPoE protocol. 
4. The router can distribute mobile 3G Internet via LAN interface via UTP cable, for this you need to change the role for the RJ45 connector from WAN (Internet) to LAN ( the local network). To connect to a desktop computer, you need a UTP cable up to 100 m long (possibly 200 m will rise). You can also easily supply power (5v_1A) via a free blue or brown pair (for example, by installing a modem with a router in the attic of the house). This will allow you to stop using active USB extension cables with a length of 5 m or more (the price of such an extension cable is comparable to the price of the HAME MPR-A1 mobile router). There will also be no need to run buggy programs like “megafon_internet, beeline_home, mts_connect”, etc. The computer automatically receives a local address and goes online when you turn on the router with an inserted 3G / 4G modem.
5. Hame MPR-A1 can be used to charge various mobile devices. Roughly speaking, a full battery charge of the router is enough for 1-2 charges of an average smartphone.
I tested HAME A1 with THL W7S 5.7 inch phablet with 2300 mAh battery capacity. The router spent 2.5 hours and its entire capacity (1800mAh) to charge the smartphone battery up to 79%. 
Conclusion: the HAME MPR-A1 mobile router has been tested and found fit for use, all the declared functions work perfectly. During testing, I did not find any network dumps and glitches in the firmware. In all operating modes, you can simultaneously charge the batteries of the router with an external charger (5V_1A).
I drew attention to the previously published about the same model of a mobile router, but the author purchased it in another store. I looked closely at the photographs of the author and found a number of differences:
1) Another "branded" box
2) Another battery and another way to attach it to the board
3) Another board, no copper screen under the battery, also no revision information (board version unknown).
4) There is no sticker with a serial number on the router case
Therefore, I would like to mention caution when buying this model in other online stores. Pay attention to the above differences.
P.S.
After reading some comments about various batches of one manufacturer of this model, I looked at DX.com and found there exactly a number of characteristic features that coincided:

In Russia, the E3272 LTE modem is widely represented by two types: E3272s-153 (MTS 824F, Megafon M100-4 and Beeline E3272 HiLink) and E3272s-210 (MTS 824FT), the difference lies in the absence of the LTE TDD 2600 substandard in the E3272s-153 (Megafon , Beeline), i.e. this version may not work correctly in the LTE standard (only) in the Moscow region. Huawei E3272 modem is compatible with Huawei AF23 WiFi router, i.e. Thus, when combining these devices, you get the cheapest WiFi LTE 4G + 3G router.
