How to weave a nest from branches with your own hands. "Nest" for Easter eggs. Ideas, MK. Wooden nest for pigeons

  • 25.03.2020

Here is a photo of a bird's nest that I made 7 years ago. In our kitchen at that time there were several stumps used as flower pot holders. My work fit perfectly into this eco-rustic interior. Then I made the same thing for my sister Margarita, and in her Moscow kitchen, a nest with quail eggs looks quite organic.

My pride is flattered by the thought that the idea to make a nest came to me by itself, I have never seen anything like it before. So this product is 100% my know-how.

You will need

Branches of grapes (they are usually cut in the fall - so that the grapes do not suffer) or any other more or less flexible twigs;

Quail or any other bird eggs;

A figurine of a bird, butterfly and other things that you would like to add to the composition.

So, we take cut branches of grapes, preferably the thinnest and longest, we clean them from leaves. The branches do not have to be freshly cut, they remain quite elastic for several days. In my example, the branches are not the thinnest, so the nest will be more rough.

We weave a semblance of a wreath from one branch. Don't be alarmed if the branches break. Usually they do not break at all, but only crack. This gives the nest a natural angularity - the birds do not nest under the ruler. If the branch is completely broken, it doesn’t matter - just take another one.

On the resulting wreath, in a chaotic manner, we fix branch after branch. It is vaguely reminiscent of basket weaving. Try to fasten the ends of the branches between other closely intertwined branches so that they do not fall out.

We continue to weave until we achieve the desired “density” of weaving. By the way, I put the scissors nearby so that the dimensions of the nest can be seen. I didn't need them at work.

We continue. We push new branches into the holes between the already woven ones, as if we “darn” these holes. The outlines of the future nest are already visible.

Well, we are almost done with the task.

It's probably time to stop. Eggs, even quail ones, will not fall out of such a nest. Let the green color of the twigs not bother you. After a couple of weeks, they will dry out and will have the natural color of the wood - like in real bird nests. If the nest is crooked or too flat, just give it the desired shape with your hands. Do not be afraid if some branch crunches or even breaks.

I still had thin twigs left, and I wove two more smaller nests from them. Thin branches dry out faster, so these nests look like they are already completely finished.

Now we need to fill our nest with contents, namely eggs! You can, of course, put fresh eggs in it, but it’s better not to risk it - they will suddenly break, go bad, or one of them will hatch.J

We take a quail egg and with the tip of a knife we make small holes from the sharp and blunt end of the egg. The contents can be blown onto a saucer or drunk. Yes, yes, drink! Do you know that raw quail eggs can be given even to children from 3 years of age? The quail has a very high body temperature, so salmonella and other bastards that want to harm our health do not survive in the egg. In addition, quail eggs are healthier than chicken eggs.

The dummies of eggs obtained in this way must be washed with water and dried.

If you can not buy quail eggs, take chicken. Free chicken eggs from the contents in the same way (although it is not advisable to drink them raw).

Dilute a little potassium permanganate in a yogurt cup, use a cotton swab and a black permanent marker to draw spots on the dummies of chicken eggs. If you are going to use chicken eggs, the nest should not be too small.

Whatever eggs you use, they should be positioned in the nest so that holes are not visible, as well as stamps on store chicken eggs (if you did not manage to paint over them).

Decorate the composition with a bird, a flower, a dragonfly, a butterfly, or decorate it with nothing, your work will still be irresistible. No two nests are the same, and what you have made is unique!

By the way, 3 days have passed since the nest was woven from green twigs. In this picture, as you can see, the greens are gradually turning brown.

Advice. If the nest becomes dusty over time, rinse the eggs with water and dry them. The nest itself is also not afraid of water, rinse it under running water, if necessary, go over it with an old toothbrush. Let dry, fill with clean eggs, and your nest is like new!

And finally, we offer you two more options for the nest. In our small apartments, sometimes there is not enough space for large art objects. From very small twigs, such crumbs are obtained. It will be difficult for them to find suitable eggs, so use anything that eggs resemble. In our case, these are beige beads and white-glazed almonds, but you can mold eggs from salt dough, twist from quilling paper, cut from polystyrene, etc.

Here are the five nests we got. On one of them, chicken eggs without coloring. Quite an acceptable look, isn't it?

Especially in autumn it is very convenient, we can do whatever our heart desires, fantasy also needs to be turned on. Now it will be just a spontaneously invented craft, I will tell how to make a bird nest with your own hands, but it will be small and decorative, to decorate the room. We will supposedly make a nest on a tree, for such a craft we will need the following materials: green grass, be sure to dry cement, twirl various trees, pebbles, threads, foam plastic and glue - a gun, rubber chickens, and also, most importantly, quail. Everything is done very simply, the most difficult thing will be to make the nest round, and then attach it to a branch. Well then, let's make our own.

Prepared the necessary materials.

Let's start making a nest, take the branches and twist them under the base. We fix the branches with threads so that they do not creep.

In the middle of the made frame for the nest, we insert the foam, if possible, glue it to the branches, if possible.

From above we close everything with green grass, we also fasten it with threads to the frame.

Beres cement and dilute it with ordinary water, according to the recipe, with the help of it we will fix our tree on which there will be a nest.

We insert branches into the cement, or rather the trunk of the future decorative tree. We fix on top with stones for hardness.

Here is the top of the tree, here we need to attach a nest for birds.

Take a glue gun and pour glue on the barrel where the nest will be, then pierce the foam with a branch, thereby catching it. Be sure to glue where needed.

When we use quail, it is better to make holes and take out all the insides. Then we put them in the nest and glue the side where the hole was. And on top you should glue a rubber yellow chicken and a chicken in the nest.

Craft from natural material is ready. Try to do the same or a bouquet.

Remember that at any time you can add anything to the craft, the main thing is to show imagination and make the craft exclusive.

Marina recently wrote to me "One fine day there will be a do-it-yourself MK house ..." So, this beautiful day has come :) today I will tell you how to weave a nest, i.e. bird house :) I got this nest absolutely by accident, remember, I made a basket of branches? So, I finished the basket and I’m sitting, as usual, under my table among the remaining branches in a pile of garbage :) and in some kind of meditation, my hands began to weave this nest ... and since the photo studio was deployed, the light was on, the camera was ready, then I captured the whole process for history, so to speak. The next day, I joyfully inform my beloved - "Imagine, I wove a nest myself !!!" To which he answered me: "You are my bird!" In short, now I'm a bird :) as soon as I learn to breathe underwater, I'll probably be a fish :)

Now about the case: I had birch branches, very well bending, in short, those that remained from weaving the basket (it says in detail how I prepared them for work). I took a long soft twig and just rolled it into such a ring and secured it with wire. See there in the middle of the jumper came out?

Under this jumper, I was able to push three long branches,

the whole nest is supported on them, so they should also bend well.

This is how the sun turned out

Since weaving "through one" requires an odd number of main branches, I attached another "beam". And since this is the beginning, the bottom, so that these rays do not dangle from side to side, I reliably braided them with wire. That's it, there is no further wire! We begin to wind branches on these rays, when the branch ends, we tuck its tip between some lower weaves, take a new branch, fix its end between some previously paid branches and continue to weave.

The branches will not fit snugly together, but it does not matter!

At first, I also got a holey nest.

This is how the sieve came out.

By the way, I just twisted the ends of the rays into a nest - it even turned out to be a rim :)

To close the holes, I simply took small twigs and wove them into the places of the holes, as if closing the gaps. In the end, it turned out very dense and beautiful.

Before you start building a solid nest, you can provide chickens with minimal comfort with the help of improvised materials. Wicker baskets can be used as a nest for laying hens, carton boxes, plastic and wooden crates.

Before using such a container in the form of a nest, you need to make sure that it is intact and does not have sharp chips, protruding nails that could accidentally injure the bird or damage the egg.

It is also worth paying attention to the parameters of the future nest. For medium-sized chickens, containers of approximately 30cm x 30cm x 30cm are suitable(width depth height). Such nests are placed in the darkest and quietest corners of the house so that no one can disturb the chickens.

If the homemade nests are not comfortable enough, then the birds will not want to rush into them, and the farmer will certainly notice this. It is better to replace temporary structures with more solid ones.

Basic rules for the arrangement and use of materials

Before building a nest with your own hands, every farmer should remember a few important rules well. Firstly, when working with chipboard and other wood materials in no case should you use nails longer than the thickness of the material used.

In this case, they will easily break through the plate and stick out on the other side, which means they can seriously injure the bird.

Secondly, nests should not be built in damp places. Often a bad microclimate causes colds, which negatively affect their overall productivity.

Under no circumstances should a laying hen's nest be placed near the entrance to the poultry house. Even if it is well heated, there will be slight air movement. Sitting in a draft, the laying hen can get sick, and the eggs can go bad.

Proper placement of birds in a chicken coop is very important.

Good organized premises for chickens

As for the filler for the nest, then no need to pour too much sawdust. During incubation, a hen may accidentally roll out an egg, and it will become unsuitable for incubation. It is equally important to follow the rules of hygiene when choosing a material for.

Ideally, the walls of the nest should be a few centimeters higher than the layer of sawdust.

If everything is done correctly, then the egg production of chickens will increase significantly, because in more favorable conditions birds are able to rush much better.

In general, organizing the correct maintenance of laying hens is not as simple as it seems.

Optimal location of nests in the chicken coop

How to do it yourself?

Why do many farmers choose to build their own bird nests? This makes it possible to create a nest that matches the size of the chicken and the desires of the breeder. We will tell you about how to build three types of nests in your chicken coop in this article.

So, we need the following tools and materials:

  • a sheet of plywood or chipboard with a thickness of at least 1 cm;
  • four wooden bars 2.5cm x 2.5cm;
  • jigsaw and file;
  • screws and screwdriver.

To determine the size of the sheet, you need to take into account the size of the future nest. It is believed that nests with a size of 25 x 35 x 30-35 cm are suitable for egg-laying chickens, and 30 x 40 x 45 cm (width-depth-height) for meat and meat-and-egg breeds.

Experienced poultry farmers say that it is enough to have 2-3 nests for 10 chickens.

Nest booth

The nest box is the easiest option. For its manufacture does not require special skills or materials. This species is quite popular, despite the fact that chickens in it can sometimes damage eggs.

Nest-booth three-section

Instructions for making a nest box:

  1. We process the edges of the chipboard sheet with sandpaper or a file.
  2. We cut out 4 identical squares of the size we need (35 x 35 cm) - the walls for the nest.
  3. In one of the squares, we outline and cut out a hole for the entrance with a jigsaw. Below you need to make a threshold.
  4. We cut off four bars along the height of the walls.
  5. We connect the cut squares into a box using self-tapping screws and a screwdriver.
  6. We make sure that there are no chips anywhere and the ends of nails or self-tapping screws do not stick out.
  7. We cut out the floor and ceiling, attach them to the structure.

In the video you can see a great example of building a simple nest for chickens in the form of a booth or box:

Immediately after construction is completed, you can worry about the filler for the nest. Straw does an excellent job with this role, but it is better to use oak or pine sawdust.

They have a much larger mass than straw, so the bird will not be able to throw them out of the nest during the laying of eggs. It is enough to pour 1/3 of the total volume of the “box” so that the chicken feels great.

Nest with egg box

This kind of nest is considered the most convenient and safe for chickens. It is not much more difficult to assemble, but it has a lot of advantages. For example, eggs will be 100% safe, because chickens will not have access to them. Yes, and collecting eggs will be much easier.

It differs from a simple booth nest in that the bottom is made with a slight slope. It is on it that the eggs roll into a special tray.

For the production of such a nest, you will need the same materials that were listed in the section above.

Instructions for assembling a nest with an egg collector:

  1. Process materials and prepare tools.
  2. Cut out the side rectangles for the walls measuring 65 x 90 cm.
  3. Cut out the front wall measuring 65 x 40 cm.
  4. In the front wall we make a hole for the entrance, about 35 cm high.
  5. We connect the side walls with the front with the help of bars.
  6. Cut out rectangles measuring 40 x 90 cm for the floor and ceiling.
  7. We attach the floor and ceiling to the walls with the help of bars.
  8. We cut out a half-slope measuring 40 x 95 cm. It will be located above the main floor at an inclination of about 15 degrees.
  9. We fill the floor with a layer of sawdust and lay the slope, fix it with self-tapping screws.
  10. We cut out the back wall measuring 40 x 45 cm. It is somewhat shorter, because we need a hole where the eggs will roll out.
  11. We attach the back wall with self-tapping screws, close the hole with a curtain.
  12. We attach a box for collecting eggs to the nest. To do this, you can use any container that is suitable in size.

A thin layer of sawdust or straw is used as bedding in such a nest. Eggs should easily roll down the sloping floor without getting stuck anywhere. In the collection box, you need to put something soft, which will prevent the shell from breaking.

In this video clip you will find useful information about creating a nest with an egg collector:

Double bottom nest

A double-bottom nest or "trap nest" is another tricky option to prevent pecking and any other contact between the hens and the eggs. The bottom of such a nest is double, and the upper tier has a slope and a hole into which the eggs roll, falling into a special collection tray. This is a very convenient nest option..

  1. Using the instructions for building a nest-booth, we are building a house with a slightly larger size - 60 x 35 x 35 cm. We are not attaching the front wall yet.
  2. We cut out two halves of the sloping floor with dimensions of 35 x 15 cm. After we fix them, there should be a gap between them, into which the eggs will freely pass.
  3. We attach one half to the back wall at a height of 20 cm and at an angle of 15 degrees.
  4. Where the front wall should be, we attach two partitions.

    The lower partition is 10 x 35 cm to which the second half of the sloping floor is preliminarily nailed. Between this partition and the bottom there is a gap for the collection tray.

    The second partition has a size of 15 x 35 cm, it is attached to the top of the nest, covering the entrance.

  5. Now you need to build a retractable tray for collecting eggs. You can knock it down in size or use any suitable one.

The tray is lined with a thick layer of soft material so that the eggs do not beat. We line the bottom-slope with a thin layer that will not interfere with the movement of the eggs.

This video presents useful information for creating trap nests:

Fixing in the poultry house

After manufacturing, home-made nests must be attached to the walls of the house or to pre-equipped special stands.

When fastening to the wall on a wooden plate, from which the barn wall is made, a board with parameters 30x4x2cm is attached with screws. She will play the role of the base on which the nest will be held.

At an angle of 45 °, another of the same board is screwed. This must be done in such a way that the angle diverges towards the bottom of the structure. In this case, the distance between the ends of the planks should not be less than 40 cm. After about 45 cm, exactly the same construction is made on the wall, with the same angle, but it will converge at the top.

The result should be a convenient compartment where the nest for chickens can be easily inserted.. However, do not forget that the nest must be hooked with screws to the oblique bar.

Option for attaching the nest to the wall of the chicken coop

The main thing to remember is that the nests should never be screwed to the bare wall of the chicken coop. The fact is that the plates from which it is made are usually quite fragile and after a few months of use they will begin to crumble under the weight of an ordinary chicken.

Some poultry breeders organize special scaffolds in their chicken coop. They are a support-table knocked down from boards or bars. For the convenience of the bird, it is placed at a height of 50 cm above the ground.

Installing nests on scaffolds

equipment correct chicken nest, of course, very important point, but this is not the end of the matter. The farmer still needs to make the hen want to lay eggs there. But how to do it? First, let's break down the main points about how chickens choose a place to hatch.

Check if these conditions are met, if so, your chickens will certainly accept new nests and rush in them.

Poultry farmers who have been breeding chickens for a long time know many subtleties not only about how to accustom chickens to a nest, but also to increase egg production in general.

Here is some of them:

Proper nest care is a prerequisite for raising healthy flocks.

Here are the highlights of this process:

  1. Nests must be kept clean and dry.
  2. Dirt, wet sawdust are removed daily.
  1. Fumigate with special checkers designed for premises with poultry.
  2. Wash floors, walls, supports with a solution of bleach (requires subsequent ventilation).
  3. Control room humidity and provide ventilation.

Once every three months, the strength of the fastening of the nests should be checked. In autumn, it is necessary to check the chicken coop at the time of insulation, to replace the insulation that has become unusable. As soon as the first frosts come, check the temperature in the room twice a day.

As has been repeatedly said, it is important to organize everything in the chicken coop correctly, this will be the key to the growth of healthy livestock and will help turn breeding poultry into business

If you don't want to waste your time making chicken nests, you can purchase ready-made ones.. Similar products can be found on thematic Internet resources, in specialized workshops, in agricultural markets and in specialized stores.

Manufacturers most often offer this kind of ready-made nests:

finished metal
plastic socket
Closed wooden

The price range of finished nests is from 850 rubles for a single open nest and up to 3000 for a double vertical one. Usually in specialized stores you can also buy cages, incubators, drinkers and feeders, and even entire chicken coops.

If birds live on your farm, then nests may be needed for them. How many eggs will be laid depends on their quality. To ensure the most comfortable conditions, nests are constructed with their own hands. Below we will reveal the main question on this topic: how to make a nest?

The most favorable time for mating and incubation of eggs is summer and the first autumn months. During this period, most birds are easier to endure serious stress.

Of course, offspring can be obtained in winter time. But this issue should be approached responsibly. The diet of birds should contain many useful minerals and vitamins. Thanks to modern technologies this opportunity is now available to everyone.

Materials: types and benefits

The main types of nests are provided:

Making nests for ducks

The nest must meet the following criteria:

  • the place is always dry;
  • you need a thick bedding so that the eggs always remain intact;
  • location - as far as possible from the aisle;
  • dim light and minimal sound.

If the poultry farmer ignores the above recommendations, then the duck will not like the proposed environment. Then the bird will go looking for a cozy place away from home. To prevent this from happening, you need to choose the right room and build nests. Ideally, they are under a roof, which gives the duck a sense of security. Make a threshold from below, thanks to which the masonry will not roll out.

Wood is the most preferred nest building material.

Step by step instructions for building

Necessary materials:

Sequencing:

Step 1. Cut out two rectangular parts from a plywood sheet, size - 40x40 centimeters.

Step 2 On one side, at a height of 9 centimeters, make a hole as a hole, size - 17x17 centimeters.

Step 3 Prepare a couple more details, one side wall should be 40 centimeters, and the second - 50.

Step 4 Build the ceiling.

Step 5 Make a frame structure from rails.

Step 6 Fasten all the details, after which the nest will be ready.

Put the finished house on a wooden floor and lay a deep bedding underneath. It must be regularly updated so that harmful bacteria do not accumulate on the testicles. Birds rush mainly in the morning, so the straw should be changed in the evening.

Nest training ducks

After the nest is ready, you need to teach the duck to rush only in it. This is not difficult to do, just follow the tips below:

How to plant a duck on eggs is a question that many farmers have. How to create a nest and put a duck on it? How to choose a suitable hen? All this, you will learn in this article.

Making nests for geese

Geese love spacious nests. To build them yourself, car tires, old boxes or baskets are suitable.

The main features of nests for geese:

Sequencing

Now let's look at several options for how to equip a nest. The first- from the box. You will need the following materials and tools:

  • lining;
  • fasteners;
  • hammer, hacksaw and tape measure;
  • bedding;
  • plywood.

The first way to create a nest

Step 1. Saw the lining into identical blocks, one wall should be 0.5 meters, and the second - 0.6.

Step 2 Take 4 bars, nail the slats to them at a distance of 4 centimeters.

Step 3 Put plywood on the bottom so that the goose and eggs are not cold;

Step 4 Treat the entire structure with a special solution.

The second way to create a nest

Second way - weave from willow branches. For this you will need:

  • willow branches of various thicknesses;
  • knife;
  • awl;
  • spacer ring.

Sequencing:

Step 1. First you need to weave a cross. Take several twigs, one of them is the shortest. Cut 3 rods in the middle with a knife, thread others through them. From the side of the cross, fasten another twig.

Step 2 Braid the crosses. This should be done crosswise. Each coil should be squeezed tightly together. The diameter of the cross should be 70 centimeters.

Step 3 Prepare the sides. To do this, insert the side rods, their tips should be pointed. To get an interesting pattern and an unusual design, experiment with shades.

Step 4 Braid the edges, bend the rays and collect the ends of the twigs on the side above the device, then tie them in the center with wire.

Step 5 Place the spacer ring inside the product and fasten it to the sides.

Step 6 Hang the ends of the fixed rods on the outside.

Step 7 At a height of twenty centimeters, untie the connected rays and braid the edges of the basket on either side.

Step 8 Wrap the first rib with the second, bend the third 5 centimeters and cut it off.

Step 9 Braid the last rod and cut off the remaining tips with a knife.

Hatching nests

One laying hen takes up space for about an hour and a half. If the goose does not leave when a person appears, but threateningly puts out its wings, then it's time to prepare its nest for incubation. Before laying the eggs, the nest should be carefully prepared - cleaned with special solutions and lay soft straw on the bottom. Hay is not recommended for this purpose.

Usually eggs are obtained up to 10 pieces. During incubation, the female should have fresh food and water nearby. The goose leaves the nest very rarely. In order not to be forgotten about her, she sometimes screams loudly. After short and short walks, she quickly returns back.

These birds are not afraid of the cold. However, eggs can get cold. Because of this, nests should be placed in heated rooms in winter.

Experts do not recommend changing nests. The female may eventually start looking for a place to incubate her eggs herself. This is fraught with loss of offspring. If you planted several geese nearby, then you need to make small curtains so that they do not see each other. Otherwise, they will start to get nervous, which will negatively affect the quality of the eggs.

Making nests for pigeons

In order for pigeons to live well, they should do comfortable conditions. If the room is empty, then the birds will not like it. Therefore, the following requirements must be met:

Types of pigeon nests

For pigeons, nests are usually made in two versions. Let's consider each of them in detail.

Wooden nest for pigeons

Wooden structures are not difficult to make, as the material is affordable and completely environmentally friendly. For work you will need:

  • fine metal mesh;
  • wooden blocks;
  • hammer and nails;
  • hacksaw;
  • tape measure and pencil;
  • sandpaper.

First take sandpaper and process the bars so that there are no burrs on them. After that, make the necessary markings and saw the boards. Next, you can fasten the structure and make the bottom of the grid.

foam nest

This material is not affected by temperature changes, it has a long service life. In addition, thanks to the foam, the nest is comfortable and warm.

Required:

  • high density foam;
  • PVA glue;
  • metal saucepan;
  • parchment;
  • construction bandage.

To make a nest, you need to do the following work:

Step 1. Measure the dimensions of the nests on the foam sheet.

Step 2. Cut out rectangular blanks with a knife.

Step 3. cover the surface of the foam with parchment.

Step 4. Heat the pan, put it on the parchment, press down and get an even hole.

Step 5. To prevent the material from collapsing, treat all blanks with glue and stick a construction bandage.

We must not forget that pigeons need somewhere to sit and rest. We will need the following materials and tools:

We make a perch like this:

Step 1. First, blanks are cut. The first should be 180, and the second 200 millimeters. They are connected in such a way that it turns out 90 degrees.

Step 3. Drill a hole to attach the perch to the wall.

Birds will thank you for such places to sit.

Making nests for quails

Any poultry farmer knows that hens and other birds lay their eggs in nests. But we know the least information about quails. This gap in knowledge needs to be corrected. In captivity, boxes are equipped as a quail nest. True, they do not rush in them as hard as chickens. These birds like to nest at ground level.

Shavings or hay will serve as an excellent bedding. However, female quails are unpretentious - they can lay their eggs in an ordinary sandbox. Such behavior is quite common for them: quails rush to freedom anywhere when the time comes.

We make nests for guinea fowls

Guinea fowl is a free and wayward creature. The bird does not like to sit in a cage. Therefore, it makes no sense to equip nests for them. Females refuse artificial incubators and build nests where they consider it practical. Most often it is dense grass or bushes.

Guinea fowls are distinguished by cohesion. The whole team prefers to rush in one place. To minimize egg loss, birds should be kept indoors until noon. After that, you can already let out for a walk on the street.

Guinea fowls prefer to carry eggs in the warm season. To increase the offspring, leave a few testicles in the nest. Otherwise, the bird will think that the nest is ruined and will go looking for a more secluded place. Guinea fowls become very shy during incubation of eggs. It is not uncommon for them to leave their roost long before the chicks appear. If this happens, you can plant a chicken on the egg.

How to make a pheasant nest

Pheasants need a free environment. Nests for these birds should be made in closed enclosures. First, a layer of peat is placed in the nest, on top - a little turf and hay. The nest is made in the form of a small depression, sizes - from 130 to 250, depending on the size of the bird. In the future, the female will build her nest herself.

Since nests are made very simply, let's focus on the construction of the aviary itself. For this you need:

  • boards;
  • Rabitz;
  • for the roof of the house - corrugated board;
  • hammer with nails;
  • dye;
  • for the base of the aviary - columns.

Sequencing:

Step 1. First you need to put the pillars, they will become the basis of the room for the birds. For such a task, iron, wood or concrete is used. It's great if you can install concrete poles, they will last a long time.

Step 2. After the site needs to be marked. Cement is poured into the holes dug for the base and posts are installed.

Step 4. What is missing in the aviary? That's right, rooftops! If it is built from slate, then it is recommended to initially install wooden rafters.

How to make a nest for turkeys

Turkeys love silence, darkness and warmth. If the room meets these requirements, then the bird feels completely safe. In addition, in the absence of drafts, the turkey will not get sick, and the eggs will turn out to be of high quality. Straw, branches (can be replaced with earth) and hay are laid on the floor.

There are many types of nests. Let's look at three main ones:

Nest care rules

Do you want many healthy chickens? Then take good care of your eggs! To do this, use the tips below:

Conclusion

Now you know how to make nests for different domestic laying hens. And remember: when a bird does not like a new place, then it needs to be urgently redone. Otherwise, you will not get high-quality eggs.
