He explained that military paramedics in battalions numbering 500-700 people are now the only doctors. And while there is a possibility, it is necessary for the Main Directorate of Personnel of the Ministry of Defense, together with the State Military Medical University of the military department, to correct this personnel incident," I. He noted that this fact caused problems already now, during the recruitment of cadets of this category to the academy.
“As the leadership of the Military Medical Academy explained to me, it turned out to be extremely difficult to agitate applicants to go to study at the paramedical faculty at the Military Medical Academy in order to receive the military rank of “medical sergeant” in four years,” I. Chizh stated.
He recalled that earlier the training of military paramedics was carried out at the Tomsk Medical Institute, which, after graduation, were awarded lieutenant shoulder straps.
