Spain is represented on the Russian market of processing centers by quite an impressive number of companies. These are Kondia, Danobat, CME, Zayer S.A., Ibarmia, Juaristi, Mupem.
Kondia is a world famous manufacturer of precision equipment for three-, four- and five-axis milling. Its machines successfully operate at industrial enterprises in many countries, including Portugal, Holland, France, Germany and others.
Ibarmia was founded in the mid-forties in Spain. Specializes in the supply of equipment for the automotive and aerospace industries. About 75% of manufactured products are exported to highly developed countries, including Germany, France and the United States.
Juaristi was founded in 1941 and started out as a manufacturer of drills, plate mills and diesel engines. In 1943, the first drilling machines were produced. A few years later, mass production of drilling, milling machines and machining centers began. Currently, the company manufactures drilling and milling machines, multi-axis machining centers and CNC-controlled rotary tables of large sizes.
Danobat is a well-known manufacturer of band saw equipment, but both vertical and horizontal centers of this company may also be of interest.
Italian machine tool builders are represented in Russia by such companies as Breton S.p.A., Fidia S.p.A., Mecof S.p.A., Pama Saimp S.p.A., Safop S.p.A., Jobs S.p.A..
Breton, founded in 1963, is widely known primarily as the largest manufacturer of equipment for stone processing, from block cutting to finished products. In this sector of the market, the company occupies a leading position in Europe. However, stone processing equipment is not the only area of ​​activity of the company. Some time ago, the company's specialists began to design work in a new field for himself - the design and manufacture of multi-axis milling machines.
Fidia has made a bet on high-speed milling and has devoted many years to research in this area. The result of work in this direction was machine tools that have been successfully operated in many countries of the world since the 90s of the XX century.
Mecof's products are also based on high speed machining technology coupled with high precision machining. This is evidenced by both the extensive range of machine tools manufactured by the company, designed to solve a wide variety of metalworking tasks, and the range of opportunities provided by each specific model. Founded in 1947, the company started as a manufacturer of radial drilling machines, but then specialized in the production of milling and boring machines with a mobile column, horizontal milling machines with a floor sliding column, portal machines, machining centers using linear motor technology.

Machine tools from Spain

Three-, four- and five-axis machines from Kondia are widely used in the tool industry, the production of die and mold parts, in the aviation and automotive industries.
The P60-V2 machine is a precision machine with increased rigidity, designed for three-, four- and five-axis machining of precision tool parts. The machine can process graphite, as well as parts made of high-alloy or hardened steel with a high surface quality.
The precision machine tools ZM-99 (three-coordinate machining) and SEASKA (five-coordinate machining) are designed for machining small parts in tool production. They also provide the possibility of processing graphite.
Models B-1370 and URBAN-2500 are recommended for use in high-speed machining of serial batches of parts, parts of medium sizes in tool production, automotive and aviation industries. Processing is carried out in three or five coordinates.

HM-2010 and HM-3015 are high-speed machining centers for three- or five-coordinate processing of large die and mold parts weighing up to 7 tons.
Models B 640, B 1050 and HM-1080, HS-1000 are used for precision high-speed machining of serial batches of parts and for medium-sized tool production parts.
The high-speed horizontal machining center HC 400 is designed for machining body parts in serial and mass production. The main characteristics of Kondia machines are presented in Table 1.

Danobat presents four model ranges of machining centers: horizontal centers of standard layout on the foundation of models TR, TA, TA-A with maximum axial movements up to 3500x1250x1000 mm; centers with moving column models SL, SP, SM with maximum movements along the axes up to 10500x2400x1500 mm; portal centers of models FS, FR, FP with maximum axial displacements up to 12000x2800x1500 mm. And finally, centers for high-speed processing of TR-HSC and SV-HSC models. Let's briefly dwell on the machines of this series.

The main parameters in the basic configuration are as follows:

Options offered: automatic indexable milling head 30 kW/917 Nm/5000 rpm, CNC systems to choose from - Heidenhain TNC i530 digital, Sinumerik 840D, Selca 4045/PD digital, Fidia C2/4L-SB digital.
CME manufactures two types of machine tools - fixed column and movable table machining centers and fixed table and movable column machining centers. Movement along the X, Y, Z axes - up to 10000x1500x3600 mm, spindle speed - up to 4000 rpm, positioning accuracy - 20 microns.
The Juaristi production program includes horizontal drilling and milling centers of the TS series, cantilever-type drilling and milling centers with a sliding drilling spindle MX7 RAM and MP9 RAM, five-axis machining centers of the TK5 series.
For MX7 RAM and MP9 RAM machines, longitudinal head movements are from 4000 to 20000 mm, vertical head movements are from 2000 to 3500 mm, console movements are up to 1000 mm, feed rates are up to 20 m / min.
The five-coordinate center TK5 is designed for processing parts weighing up to 20 tons: vertical movements - up to 1500 mm, column movements - from 1200 to 2000 mm, longitudinal movements of the table - up to 4000 mm, head rotation - ± 1050, feed rates along the axes - up to 20 m /min
Mupem offers turning centers of the ISCAR series with Fanuc control system for complete machining of bars in a chuck, machining of piece blanks with the possibility of milling and drilling. Distance between centers - up to 550 mm, bar diameter - up to 65 mm, machine power - up to 15 kW and turning spindle speed - up to 6000 rpm. Machines can be equipped with tailstock, counter spindle, tool wear monitoring system. Machine tools can be used to produce high precision parts.
Ibarmia currently manufactures industrial drilling machines, drilling machines and fixed table CNC machining centers, including five-axis ones.
The range of Zayer milling machining centers is quite extensive. The company's production program includes single-column (GP-E, GPU-E), two-column (30KC-D, KM-AR-D) and portal (FP-E) machines, as well as several special-purpose models. In addition, within each of these groups there is a division into standard, high-performance and high-speed machines. The characteristics of some models of Zayer centers are shown in Table 2.

Concluding the conversation about the machines of Spanish manufacturers, perhaps one interesting detail should be noted. Almost all Spanish companies (with the exception of Kondia and then partially) specialize in large-sized machine tools.

Machine tools from Italy

Fidia presents several models of high-speed centers, as well as specialized CNC systems for high-speed machining.
Models HS664V and HS664RT are three-to-five-coordinate centers for processing small and medium-sized parts - templates (patterns), molds, dies, monowheels, turbine blades. HS664V is the basic model equipped with a fixed table. It is used for three-axis milling. The machine can be equipped with a fourth axis - a rotary table with smooth control. The HS664RT is equipped with a tilting rotary table with smooth control. It is used for complex five-axis milling.
Models G996 and G996RT are three- to five-axis centers with high dynamic and precision characteristics for roughing and finishing medium-sized parts. Particular attention is paid to the thermal stability of the machines, which is achieved by cooling the large ball screws and rotating nuts of all axes - this ensures maximum precision of the parts produced. The machines are equipped with an electrospindle with a maximum torque of 105 Nm and a maximum speed of 24,000 rpm, which allows processing hardened steel at high cutting speeds. For each specific application, it is possible to choose the most rational configuration: three axes, 3+2 axes (an index milling head rotating in two coordinates), five axes (swivel tilt table with smooth control).
The D165 is a compact, versatile and economical milling center designed specifically for high speed milling. It is used for machining forming dies of molds and dies, manufacturing prototypes, graphite electrodes. The machine is equipped with a compact high-performance CNC system Fidia C1.
Model K199 is a high-speed five-axis machining center designed for processing medium and large dies. Is effective solution for the manufacture of parts with very complex profiles, such as molds and dies for the aviation and aerospace industries.
Models D218, D318, D418 are specialized milling machining centers designed for finishing templates and dies, as well as for processing light materials.
Models K211, K214, KR214, K411, K414, KR414 are five-coordinate centers designed for the production of three-dimensional plastic parts used in the automotive and aviation industries (body parts, bumpers, dashboards). Machines are able to perform all stages of processing - from peeling to grinding.
Models Y2K411 and Y2K414 are a boxer solution that is formed by combining two K411 or K414 machines and allows you to maximize the modularity of the machines. By operating two milling heads simultaneously in this configuration, controlled by synchronized Fidia C20 CNC systems, sheet metal dies can be produced in half the time.
Characteristics of Fidia five-axis machines are presented in table 3.

It is impossible not to say a few words about CNC systems and programming from Fidia. CNC systems of the C Class family are characterized by high functionality and compactness. They can be installed both on relatively simple compact milling machines and on powerful high-speed machining centers.
The Fidia C1 system supports up to five interpolating axes and is designed for three- and four-axis machining centers. For the most complex processing options, the Fidia C20 CNC system is used (up to nine interpolation axes).
Fidia also offers two CAD/CAM systems, the 21/2 D ISOGRAPH system and the HI-MILL 3D system. HI-MILL is a system for creating control programs for the manufacture of dies, templates, models, prototypes. The system works in real time - processing starts simultaneously with the calculation of the tool path. The machine operator can determine the technological parameters in accordance with the equipment and tools available at any given time.
The HI-MILL system is able to calculate tool paths for roughing and finishing, control the orientation of the tool axis in space, dynamically display the workpiece, highlighting the material being removed.

Breton currently offers three machine ranges:

  • MATRIX - three- and five-coordinate machining centers with a fixed table (table dimensions - from 2000x2000 to 3500x8500 mm), for processing molds, dies, and other parts of general engineering;
  • XCEEDER - three- and five-axis machining centers with a fixed table (table size - from 900x1250 to 1500x1000 mm) and tilt-rotary table (table diameter - 800x860 mm) for processing molds, dies, impellers, monowheels;
  • ULTRIX - four- and five-axis machining centers with the ability to perform grinding operations, with a rotary table (table size - from 900x1200 to 1600x1000 mm) and tilting rotary table (table diameter - 700x860 mm) for processing molds, dies, impellers, monowheels .

It is possible to identify common distinctive features Breton machines:

  • to ensure rigidity and achieve high dynamic performance, the machine is equipped with a massive steel base;
  • to provide the bending and torsional rigidity needed to ensure positional accuracy and straight running, the gantry type gantry has a box-shaped ribbed design;
  • the movement of the portal is carried out with the help of a double drive, by means of worm shafts and preloaded double half nuts. The entire guide system is located at the top of the side posts, away from the contaminated lower working area;
  • spindle carriage made of cast iron, moves on guides with recirculating rollers, equipped with protection and lubrication;
  • The swivel-rotary table is made in the form of a rigid cast-iron structure with double-sided support to ensure the best stability. Kinematic movements have backlash compensation and are driven by digital motors;
  • the electric spindle has a thermal stabilization system, the rotation speed is 15000/18000/24000/40000 rpm.

ULTRIX machines are equipped with a boring spindle, which is mounted on the side surface of the main electrospindle, has a thermal stabilization system and is designed to perform turning and grinding operations. As standard, the machines are equipped with the Sinumerik 840D CNC system, however, if necessary, Fidia, Selga, Heidehain CNC systems can be installed.
A wide range of options are offered: conversion to digital display for copying with CNC control; analog copy probe Renishaw SP2/1; optical system for scanning and three-dimensional manipulation of the reference form of the part; various types of tool magazines; oil mist supply system; different kinds chip conveyors. Characteristics of some models of Breton machining centers are presented in table 4.

Mecof Machining Centers are used in Die and Mold Machining, Aerospace and General Precision Parts.
The Perfoma model is a high speed moving table machine. Roughing on the machine can be done with an automatic two-turn head with a power of 30 kW and a rotation speed of 4000 rpm. or a new head with continuous positioning (rotational speed - 6000 rpm). Finishing is carried out by an electrospindle with a rotation speed of 36,000 rpm.
The design of the machine is thermosymmetrical, has high rigidity - a very important property for roughing and for combining dynamic and precision characteristics in finishing. This model of the machine uses such technical solutions as: liquid-cooled screws, liquid-cooled axis motors, automatic tool change system, laser system for measuring the length, radius, diameter and profile of the tool, tool lubrication and cooling systems. The machine is equipped with a full cabin-type protective fence and a chip conveyor.
The Perfoma machining center is used for the production of: prototype dies and molds, injection molding machines, aluminum molds, injection molds; medium and large parts with high precision.
The machines in the Agile range are high-speed machines with a moving column. These machines also feature a high rigidity thermosymmetrical design with a center slide and are designed for roughing and finishing at high speed and with high precision. The rotary faceplate of the vertical axis is built into the caliper. This range, like all Mecof machines, was designed using the finite element method.
The Agile machine range includes: Agile M - a family of machines with a floor movable stand, Agile M5.3 - machines for making dies and molds with the ability to automatically change spindle heads, Agile M5 - five-axis machines for making prototypes.
The lineup Dynamill - portal machines with a movable traverse, with movements along the X, Y, Z axes - up to 7000, 3000, 15000 mm, respectively. The speed of working movements is 15-25 meters per minute.
A large margin of structural safety increases the reliability of the entire machine tool system, which includes an automatic tool change system, a laser system for measuring the length, radius, diameter and profile of a tool, a tool lubrication and cooling system, and a chip conveyor.
There is a possibility of automatic change of milling heads (heads with continuous positioning, heads with electrospindles, horizontal, etc.). Machines of this class are used for the production of medium and large-sized dies and molds, while reducing the time spent on milling and manual finishing.
In addition, Mecof offers Prima and Airone machining centers.
Prima is a portal machining center with linear drives, has a monolithic design with an integrated bed, the machine does not have a foundation, the maximum load on the table is 1000 kg.
Airone 165, Airone 220 are vertical gantry machining centers with linear motors. The optimization of the moving masses, performed using the strength calculation by the finite element method, made it possible to obtain a movable traverse with a stroke along the X axis of 1650 mm and along the Z axis of 800 mm. The speed of fast movements is up to 100 m/min., the working feed is up to 60 m/min., the acceleration is up to 1.1 d, the speed of the electrospindle is 30,000 rpm. Characteristics of individual models of Mecof machines are presented in table 5.

Pama presents three series of machining centers: Speedram - foundationless drilling and milling centers, Speedmat - modular high-speed centers and Speedcenter - multifunctional centers with a mobile column for five-axis machining.
The Speedcenter 1600 model is interesting: movements along the X, Y, Z axes - up to 3200x200x1600 mm; tilting rotary table diameter - 1600 mm, milling head spindle speed - 8000/15000/25000 rpm, fast movements along linear axes - 40 m/min.
In total, Rama offers about a dozen models with maximum movements along the axes up to 5000x7000x1600 mm and a maximum load capacity of the table up to 18 tons. The machines are equipped with the Sinumerik 840D CNC as standard.
In the production program of Safop, among other types of machines: horizontal machining centers with automated pallet-type transport devices for turning, milling, drilling, grinding, deep boring. The weight of the installed workpiece is up to 150 tons.



Part V

After a break due to well-known reasons, Czech manufacturers of metalworking equipment began to increase their presence in the Russian market. Thus, 17 Czech machine-tool companies took part in the Metalworking-2005 exhibition.

Presentation

JSC Tajmac-ZPS celebrated its centenary in 2003. Machines with the ZPS brand have been supplied to enterprises for many years Soviet Union. The current owner of the company is the Italian company Tajmac-ZPS, a.s. The modern production program of the company includes automatic lathes, CNC lathes, as well as vertical and horizontal machining centers.
JSC Kovosvit has been producing metalworking equipment for 65 years. Two subsidiaries of the company (Kovosvit MAS and Kovosvit DS) produce CNC lathes, automatic lathes, drilling machines, as well as vertical, horizontal and portal machining centers.
TOS Kurim-OS SA is a well-known Czech manufacturer of metalworking equipment, whose production program includes universal milling machines, special machines and automatic lines, as well as mobile column machining centers and portal machining centers.
Strojirnatyc Ltd. was founded in 1992 with the aim of manufacturing machine tools, their modernization and overhaul. The basis of the company's nomenclature is made up of portal milling and drilling machining centers.
TOS Varnsdorf SA offers a wide range of machine tools - from universal to large machining centers.
French-made machining centers in Russia are represented by Huron Createur Machines - Outls. Huron is one of the European leaders in the production of high precision machining equipment. The company has produced more than 170 thousand machine tools that successfully operate at enterprises around the world. Precision machining centers are widely used in the automotive and aircraft industries, for example, at such well-known enterprises as: Aeromec, Rolls Royse - Allen Power, Volvo Aero Norge, Nasa Langley Researh, etc.

Kovosvit

The company's production program includes vertical machining centers of the MCV series, five-axis vertical centers MCV 1000 Speed ​​5AX, MCV 1000 Sprint 5AX and FCV 1450 Speed ​​5AX, horizontal center Trijoint 900H and portal centers MCU 2000 and MCU 3000.
The MCV brand center series is traditionally available with table sizes ranging from 800x500 mm for the MCV 500 models to 1500x670 mm for the MCV 1270 models. modern technologies, and are designed for drilling, boring, reaming, threading and milling large and complex parts. Work in the automatic cycle is carried out by automatic tool change. The movements and feeds of the cross table and the headstock occur simultaneously. The novelty of the company is the high-performance five-axis center MCV 1000 Sprint 5AX, designed on the basis of the well-proven high-speed center MCV 1000 Sprint. The use of a two-coordinate round table on the machine allows for the complete processing of one part in one setting. The proven design of the machine allows high reliability to be achieved.
The first representative of a new series of high-performance horizontal centers is the Trijoint 900H machining center. This machine is designed using the principles of parallel kinematics. The original scheme allows for precise and fast processing over the entire cutting zone.
The peculiarity of the machine lies in high rigidity, dynamism, obtained as a result of the original solution of the principles of tool movement (parallel dynamics of the tool module). The Trijoint 900H meets the requirements of HSC technology and is an effective high performance machining solution for the automotive and aerospace industries.
Of interest is the turning and milling center of the Multicut 500S model with a maximum turning diameter of up to 700 mm, working movements along the X/Y/Z axes of 635/370/1600 mm, and a spindle speed of 3500 rpm. and a milling head speed of 7000 rpm.

Tajmac-ZPS

The company's production program includes vertical centers of the MCFV series, horizontal centers of the H series, turning centers of the TSN series and the Turnmill 1250 milling and turning center.

All machine models of the MCFV series are available in three versions:

  • Standard - spindle with a two-stage planetary gearbox from ZF;
  • Trend - with direct belt drive spindle;
  • Contour - with a high speed spindle.

The guide surfaces are formed by hardened, finely ground steel strips. The working table, cross slide and headstock are installed in prestressed rolling seats. frame original performance provides high rigidity of the machine during power processing, high dynamic stability at high cutting speeds and high temperature stability under labor-intensive operating modes. The new design of the cabinet fence of the cutting zone greatly facilitates the process of manipulation of the workpiece. Removing the magazine from the cutting zone, changing the design of the tool change while maintaining the time of its change made it possible to increase the working feeds in all axes up to 15000 mm/min., fast feeds in all axes - up to 30 m/min. at accelerations up to 5 m/sq. With. A large Z movement creates maximum space for the use of the XY rotary table - five-axis controlled machining. The temperature stabilization of the headstock is performed by a separate refrigeration circuit, which includes the area of ​​the main engine flange, the casing of the spindle assembly with the headstock tube or the plate heat exchanger of the lubricating and cooling oil of the planetary gearbox. The new design allows, with a minimum change, to vary the performance of the machines. In the basic version, the vertical centers have a Heidenhain iTCN 530 CNC system, Siemens drives, Cosmotec headstock temperature stabilization, central lubrication system, cabinet fence, Heidenhain linear opto-electric rulers.
A novelty in the production program is the new five-axis horizontal machining center H 63 Five axis, designed for complex machining of body parts, molds and work with complex surface profiles. The swivel table allows machining previously impossible on horizontal centers. The machine is controlled by the CNC system, which makes it possible to process volumetric and complex-shaped parts along five coordinate axes, when the tool repeats the trajectory that was obtained at the output of the 3D CAD program. The headstock moves in the vertical direction (Y-axis) on two linear guides on the column. The rotary tilt table (axis B and A) with the faceplate moves in the transverse direction along two linear guides on the frame. Along them, the rack moves in the longitudinal direction. The working movements of the headstock, rack, swivel table are carried out using digitally controlled AC electric motors through ball screws, the nuts of which have a preload. The rotational and tilting movements of the table are carried out by means of digitally controlled AC motors through a toothed belt and a worm gear. Position measurement on all axes - direct, using absolute linear displacement transducers.
Technical characteristics of some models of Tajmac vertical and horizontal centers are presented in tables 2 and 3.

The Turnmill 1250 is a new generation of multi-operation, multi-axis machining centers. The machine is designed for complex processing of large, complex in shape and technologically difficult to machine parts, for productive milling and turning, as well as for high-speed machining (HSC) and fine boring and grinding.
The Turnmill 1250 is a portal machine with a moving crossbar; in the basic version, it has four controlled axes: X axis - longitudinal movement of the cross member; Y-axis - transverse movement of the slide; axis Z - vertical movement of the slider; axis C - axis of rotation of the faceplate. Continuously adjustable milling cutter head, rotatable in the X, Z plane, can expand the number of controlled axes to five. The working area of ​​the machine and the number of tooling allow for the final processing of the workpiece in one installation. The machine can perform the following operations:

  • milling (all types of operations that are carried out on vertical and horizontal centers, as well as boring and drilling);
  • turning (turning of internal and external surfaces of rotation, frontal turning with a constant cutting speed, cutting internal and external threads with a cutter);
  • grinding (grinding of cylindrical and conical surfaces, flat grinding of end surfaces and surfaces perpendicular to the clamping plane, profile grinding of surfaces perpendicular to the plane of the faceplate).

Main technical parameters of vertical and horizontal spindle:

  • clamping cone ISO 50;

  • torque - 300/384 Nm;

  • the minimum diameter for internal turning is 140 mm.

OC from France

Huron's production program includes precision machining centers of the CX, KX, EX series for three-, four-, five- and six-axis machining. The machines are widely used in tool production, in the manufacture of molds and molds for injection molding, for processing parts in the automotive and aircraft industries.

Standard equipment of machining centers of all series includes:

  • all components and parts of the cast structure;
  • feed control by a stepless AC motor;
  • hydraulic tool clamp;
  • motor spindle;
