I decided not to step on the "rake" of others. I don't know how to act, so I had to improve myself. In fact, my job is the same as everyone else's, it's just that I'm playing for the camera, not clapping keyboard keys. And I don’t like writing lyrics, so I started preparing the “scene”.

1. Home film studio.

I tried to think logically: if I advertise earnings in the “home chair”, then the place of recording should be an apartment and a home PC.

To record high-quality video, you need good lighting and a camera. At that time, I didn’t know about video tricks at all, but the guys from the affiliate program advised me.

How to create a channel on Youtube?

I created a header for my channel with graphic editor, then I designed covers for each video in the same style. At first, of course, it turned out a little crooked.

Actually, it was high time to do this, I mean start making money on Youtube. I created your channel on Youtube almost simultaneously with the blog. If I launched the blog in May 2009, then I opened the channel in June 2009.

So let's start with the numbers. I connected the monetization of my channel in mid-October 2013 (I will write more about what monetization is below). I did it at first not quite legally, although this point is a big question.

The fact is that for Russia, the functions of monetizing video content on Youtube are not yet fully available. Therefore, in order to receive income from YouTube, you need to either change the country of your location in the channel settings, or become a partner of one of the media networks (read intermediaries) that have entered into an agreement with Youtube and provide their partners with the opportunity to monetize videos. However, they take a certain percentage from the authors.

So, according to the employees of the media network, to which I subsequently connected, Youtube rules prohibit changing the country of your location in the channel settings. That is, if you indicated in the settings that you are in the United States, and you yourself upload videos from Russia, then this can lead to a ban.

To be honest, I myself did not find such information in the rules of Youtube. I confess that I searched badly, or rather, an abundance different pages and documents in the rules of Youtube is so much brainwashed that without a bottle you can’t figure it out. And since I don’t drink, I had to take the word of the media network employees

As you probably guessed, later I switched from the illegal method of monetization, which I wrote about above, to the legal one, namely, I became a partner of one media network, which I will discuss in more detail below.

It didn’t fit in my head that you can earn money sitting at home at the computer.

As a self-employed person, it always seemed to me that in order to make money, you had to go to work and do something, something tangible and real. And the Internet for me has always been associated with something virtual, that is, not quite real.

And the first thousand rubles I earned became a confirmation for me, a real fact that there is money on the Internet and it is really possible to earn it. Since then, several years have passed and I have earned several million rubles on the Internet, and it all started with some miserable thousand.

The first thousand rubles earned on Youtube reminded me of that time. The time when I did NOT really believe in the success of my undertaking and my subsequent final results.

If I was once able, starting with the first thousand rubles earned on a blog, to subsequently earn several million rubles, then why not repeat the same thing on Youtube?

Or rather, why not add another source of income to the sources of income that I already have, which can potentially bring millions of rubles every year?

I created my Youtube channel as an addition to my blog. More precisely, I needed to somehow broadcast videos, which I then only tried to do.

Back then, I didn't even think about making money with videos. And if he did, he had no idea how money is made on YouTube.

Thus, from all that has been said, the following conclusion can be drawn: to ignore the huge traffic (high attendance) of people who hang out on Youtube every day is simply stupid.

I, as a person who develops in the Internet sphere, as a person who earns money on the Internet, cannot pass by this. With the help of YouTube, I can close a lot of questions:

• You can redirect part of the traffic from YouTube to your sites;
• You can redirect part of the traffic to partner sites;
• You can increase your popularity and brand awareness (I don’t like this word, but still).

But than I definitely like Youtube. so it is an opportunity to calculate your potential income using specific data. So that you understand what I'm talking about, remember some of your business ideas. In order for your business idea to be realized, you need to calculate everything in advance in order to understand whether the game is worth the candle.

In practice, it is impossible to take into account all the nuances and force majeure circumstances. Because of what many beginners are very far from reality. I think because of this, situations occur when 9 out of 10 new businesses go to the bottom in the first year of their existence.

Youtube gives me accurate statistics every day on the basis of which I can calculate WHAT I need to do in order to INCREASE my income.

For example, I displayed the statistics for the month and see that:

• The average number of views per day on my channel is 531;
• The average number of clicks on ads in my videos is 25;
• The average income that I receive at the same time is $ 1.04 per day.
• About 90 videos are currently uploaded on my channel, which were uploaded just like that, without being tied to any keywords and specific user requests, that is, not optimized.
• On average, each video is viewed about 6 times a day.

To increase the amount of earnings on Youtube, I need to increase the number of views. You can do this in many ways, such as uploading new videos, or optimizing and promoting existing videos. Better yet, do both.

To achieve this goal, I need to upload to my channel:

• 200 266 once a day;
• Or 500 videos, each of which will be viewed 107 once a day;
• Or 1000 videos, each of which will be viewed 54 times a day.

Now there are 90 videos on my channel. If I aim for 1000 clips, then I need to create another 910 clips. That is, you need to create and upload about 3 videos to your channel every day during the year. Plus, you need to take into account that you need to increase the view of each video to 54 from the 6 views that I have now.

The task is difficult, but realizable. I'm not going to make three videos every day. Most likely I will do it much more slowly. At the moment, speed is not so important to me. I have other sources of income.

Therefore, I consider Youtube as a long-term tool that will bring me sufficient income in 2-3 years

What I like most about this whole undertaking is that it does not require large capital investments to organize a business of this kind.
